This Private Pool Villa is Perfect Relaxing Magical at night
This was another awesome Airbnb experience. If you have read the previous posts, you would know this entire five week long trip was all booked with Airbnb. JC and I both love Airbnb. It is the best built, best user experience and best managed booking site there is by far. Everything is made so simple. What makes it even more special is the Host’s. Friendly personalised service with great local knowledge.
This stay was hosted by Robert. The rental included pick up and drop off to and from the Airport by Robert himself. This is unbelievable personalised service which not many hosts offer. The drive from the Airport was a great chance to get to each other. Robert gave us loads of great tips and advice for around the island of what to do/see, where to shop, drink or eat. Although he has a couple of beautiful villa’s for rent, his main business is a car and motorbike rental shop. We had prearranged to rent two bikes for our stay. Our Host had already dropped one bike at the villa but as I had requested one that I could use a handlebar mount on, we had to stop past the shop to pick up a bike that would suit my needs.
The shop is located in the main Lamai Beach area and the Villa’s are also in Lamai but a couple minutes inland. I picked out my bike and helmet and then followed behind Robert and JC on the drive to the Villa. The villa is encased in a large rendered wall offering great privacy and security. An impressive large wooden gate opens up onto and amazing private pool that at night, looks magical surrounded by dim ambient lighting. Robert graciously helps us with our bags and gives us a tour of the fabulous villa. Wow, I thought to myself as I walled through. I had seen the pictures before but they really don’t do it justice. Everything was immaculately clean and everything in perfect working order.
The Villa itself is a two bedroom, both with ensuite bathrooms. Both have walk in robes and air conditioning as well as a fan. Plenty of fresh towels on hand both for the pool and bathrooms. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the villa giving great separation with the kitchen and living room between them. There is a Medium sized kitchen with everything you need if you wanted to cook. We had no plans to cook but were suitably impressed with the large fridge/freezer for icy cold drinks. The living room has a couch on either side with a large coffee table in the centre. There is also a large flat screen TV good reception. The pool just outside is perfect. It has a wonderful blue light inside for night swims. The garden surrounding the pool has dim lights inside lanterns that create a wonderful relaxing ambience. There is also a covered outdoor dining area although we used it mostly for relaxing afternoon drinks . Down the side of the villa there is even a washing machine if you plan to do your own washing.
This Airbnb experience was perfect in every way, made even more so enjoyable because of the wonderful, friendly host Robert. If you plan to visit Koh Samui I would highly recommend this same villa. Great villa with a great host in a great area. It’s possibly a little far in for walking each day so I would also recommend having transport while staying here.
