The Best Airbnb in Patong
When staying in Patong, you really are spoiled with choice. Guesthouses, Hotels, Apartments and more. If you have read any of our previous posts you might have caught on to the fact that we here at Zudu Travel prefer Airbnb over any other form of travel booking. Keep reading because this is just another perfect example of why. You won’t believe how cheap this place is.
This is actually a four bedroom house but its rented as a two bedroom. There is a dedicated house manager and it even includes a cleaner six days a week. It is a four level home including the ground floor. There is a large courtyard on the ground floor with mood lights and lounge at the front entrance guarded by large statues to keep you safe. The ground level also hosts a living area, bathroom and full size designer kitchen as well as a cosy garden area with pond and waterfall at the rear of the property. It makes a great breakfast spot if eating in.
Next level up is the two bedrooms that are not available. Then the third level has the two available bedrooms, one at the front and the other at the rear of the building. Both bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, a large flat screen TV and a bar fridge. The main room at the front has the best views over Patong and the Ocean. The rear room looks over the bush of the hill behind. This room also has a spiral staircase on the balcony that leads up to the fourth floor which is multi level.
At the top of the stairs there is a tiny kitchenette that has a sink, large fridge and a washing machine. Should also mention the ground floor also has another washing machine as well as two more fridges. These are located on the top floor to make entertaining easier. Heading outside you will find a toilet and an outdoor shower. Head up a few stairs to the raised terrace level to find a double sunbed and magical views. Then down a few stairs on the other side to the main entertaining terrace on the lower level that has an awning for shade as well as feature lighting for night time. Under the awning is more sun beds as well as an outdoor table and lounge setting. This rooftop terrace was our most used area both day and night.
Our Host was out of the Country at the time of our stay but we had regular contact via Social media and messaging apps. The House manager was also available by same or in person. All our questions were answered fast and pleasantly. During our travels we have been fortunate enough to have experienced some amazing Airbnb stays with super friendly and helpful hosts. This house was the most well planned and executed delivery from a host we have ever experienced. Everything said was delivered upon. There is an extensive house manual (I’m talking numerous pages) with instructions from light switches, hot water, rubbish, spare light bulbs, internet and even places to see or places to eat near the house. There are even some local brochures in the main room downstairs in case you are interested in taking any island tours or day trips during your stay. Every possible outcome has been planned and prepared for, it was just a flawless. It is easy to see why they are a Super Host on Airbnb.
Now, you want to know how crazy awesome value this place was? It was only $49AU a night each. When you consider how huge this house is, the gorgeous ocean view in the day and beautiful night time view of Patong’s city lights, you must agree this is well under priced.
